Planning permission has been granted for a new and vibrant urban community in the Greater Manchester area.

Trafford Waters will create 3,000 new homes, 100,000 sq ft of commercial space and local amenities within a 50 acre site located on the banks of the Manchester Ship Canal within Traffordcity.

Guy Pearson, Urban Designer at IBI Group said: We are thrilled to have worked with Peel Land and Property to plan this healthy, sustainable and connected neighbourhood.”

“Trafford Waters will provide something new and different to compliment the wider Greater Manchester residential offer; a new neighbourhood conceived to appeal to people who want a more urban lifestyle, accessible to the city, but within an environment that better meets a wider range of life stages, including family life.’’

IBI Group took an active role in developing the concept and rationale behind the Trafford Waters development that was permitted by Trafford Council.

Peel Land and Property will invest £1billion over the next 20 years to realise this ambitious scheme, which looks to significantly contribute to the local housing needs and increase employment opportunities.
